David Linton Ratliff, 67, husband of Sandra Smith Ratliff, passed away Sunday March 6, 2022, at his
home in Nicholasville, KY. He was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on May 16, 1954, to Mary Lou Sifers and
the late David Lester Ratliff. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and proudly served his country in
the United States Marine Corps. He continued in federal service as a heavy equipment operator at the
Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA and then as a mail carrier in Camp Hill, PA. He retired from
federal service and began farming in Bedford, VA. In addition to his wife, Sandy, and his mother, he is
survived by two sons, Cody Ratliff (Kristyn) and Keaggy Ratliff, three brothers, Derek Timothy Ratliff
(Jequita), Dana Mark Ratliff, Darron Ratliff (Fredia), two sisters, Beverly Bales (Ken), Teresa Epling (Ben),
as well as grandson Reese David Ratliff and many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and their children.
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral home with Pastor Dan
McPherson officiating. Graveside services and Military Honors will follow at Camp Nelson National
Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Derek Timothy Ratliff, Nicholas Epling, Alex Ratliff, Jacob Ratliff, Bruce
Wayne Prater, Darron Ratliff, Mark Ratliff, and Andrew Ratliff. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the
time of the service at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Ratliff family in their time
