Emily “Sue Neu” Howe, 86, widow of William Howe, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Tollesboro on August 14, 1936, to the late Raymond Deatley and Martha Gill Deatley. She worked as a dietitian for Central Baptist Hospital. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Smith (Ronald), and Cheryl Parker (Keith); sons, Jack L. Neu, and Michael D. Neu; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, William, she is preceded by five brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Rebecca Smith Blair. Services will be held at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until the time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be the following morning at 11:00 AM, Thursday, at Wedonia Cemetery in Mason County, where bearers will be Earl Bennington, Wayne Howe, Brandon Howe, Adam Wilson, Jacob Wilson, and Jason Smith.
