Nicholasville-Geneva Reynolds Ethington, 86, widow of William Allen Johns and C.V. Ethington Sr., died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She was born April 14, 1925 in Jessamine County to the late Goble and Mary Hager Reynolds. Geneva was a retired keypunch operator for IBM, an active member of Logana Baptist Church and a regular volunteer at Royal Manor Nursing Home where she received a Volunteer of the Year Award. Survivors include a son Russell Allen (Thelma) Johns, a step son, C.V. (Mo) Ethington Jr., a step daughter, Linda Lee (Herky) Rupp, four grandchildren, Rainey Johns, Bree (Jason) Combs, Seth (Kallye) Johns and Jaron Johns, four step grandchildren, Farren Shrensker, Chip Rupp, Steve Ethington and Shannon Haas, six great grandchildren, Grace, Noah and Eli Combs, Lily, Isaac and Georgia Johns., a sister, Flessie Marie Hay, nieces, Kathy Elam and Debbie Polley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Reynolds. Services will be 1:00pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
