Karen Denise Becknell, 66, wife of Denver Lee Becknell, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at her home in Nicholasville. She was born in Lexington on April 22, 1956, to the late Benjamin Seevers and Alta Faye Browning Seevers. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Karen is survived by her husband, Denver; sons, Mark Havens (Barbara) and Gregory Havens; stepdaughters, Ashton Cassinelli (Michael) and Sarah Becknell (Connor Pierce); sisters, Janet Seevers and Janice Seevers; grandchildren, Katie Havens (Jorden Long), Kayla Havens, Malicia Havens, and Gregory Havens; step-grandson, Easton Cassinelli; great-grandchildren, Bentley Donald Long, and Memphis Kaye Long; and her fur babies, Jake and Beans. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her favorite fur baby, Gracie Lou. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 10, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, with Connor Pierce, Johnny Hafley, Bill Messer, James Burge, Anthony Hasty, Austin Hunter, and Jorden Long serving as bearers. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Karen and the Becknell family in their time of need.
