Patricia "Pat" Lee Ciccorella

June 23, 1942 — November 20, 2022

Patricia (Pat) Lee Ciccorella died Sunday, November 20, 2022, bringing a tender close of a life filled with kindness, hard work, service to others and to her Lord Jesus Christ. Pat was born in New England on June 23, 1942, to the late Aubra Ciccorella and the late Stephen Ciccorella. Pat grew up in Wilmore, KY, graduated from Asbury College in 1965, and played basketball on her Asbury class girls’ team. Pat went on to obtain two University of Kentucky Master of Public Affairs degrees. Pat’s early work experience was with the Housing Opportunity and Housing Counseling, Inc., a HUD approved counseling agency. Pat went on to work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in human resources with additional training in the housing field in Georgia and North Carolina. For many years Pat was a Field representative for the Kentucky Department of Social Service. Pat’s second career for over 20 years was as a realtor and was currently an agent with RE/MAX Elite Realty in Nicholasville for the last 7 years, achieving multi-million-dollar sales for years, and a Life Member of the Million Dollar Club. Pat also coauthored a book with her mother Aubra Ciccorella Crossing the Crest published in 1975 by Boston: Branden Press.

Pat loved her Wilmore Community and was an active “behind the scenes” volunteer and supporter for many events and projects. She was passionate about helping the community, helping the homeless, and helping animals without homes. A brief listing of her interests includes:

• Served on the Wilmore Community Development Board for more than 20 years

• Handled all the fundraising for the 13 years of Gospel on the Green concert series

• Took an active role in the grass roots effort to restore Clark Chapel of the Wilmore United Methodist Church

• Donated funds to various businesses to aid them in supplying candy for children during the Halloween “Treats on Main” event and on a regular basis would visit businesses requesting door prizes for benefits and fundraisers.

• Initiated and helped fund the “Hometown Christmas” community event at Fitch’s IGA

• Encouraged friends and acquaintances to purchase hams and turkeys through the IGA/Wilmore Community Service Center holiday food project

• Strongly compassionate and concerned for our local homeless

• Known by most that knew Pat to have a soft spot for stray cats and dogs

For many years Pat donated funding for mission work in Cambodia including funding for churches, Bible training, Pastor’s conferences, and building the first Christian church in the Prey Veng province.

We lost a precious and loyal friend, and we will greatly miss her daily phone calls! She was always looking for new and creative ways to help those in need, always fast to give help but hesitant to receive it and was still working up to the day she went home to be with Jesus. Pat will sincerely be missed by her family and friends!

Services will be Friday December 2, 2022, at Clark Chapel Wilmore United Methodist Church, visitation at 1:00 PM, and a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. D. Merricks and Dr. Glen Spann, with a graveside service following at 3:15 PM conducted by Leonard Fitch. The Clark Chapel service is scheduled to be live streamed from a link on the Wilmore United Methodist Church’s Facebook page of facebook.com/wilmoreumc
