Russell Lee Dykes, Jr.

Russell Lee Dykes, Jr., 92, husband of Eloise Elizabeth Teer Dykes, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was born in Diboll, Texas, on December 18, 1930, to the late Russell Lee Dykes Sr., and Mary Alberta James Dykes. He was a machinist by trade and a veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his son, Robert Allen (Shannon) Dykes; sisters, Betty Lou Dykes Capps, Lola B. Dykes Carter, Jessie Faye Dykes Howell, and Annie Nell Dykes Loftin; grandchildren, Andrea Dykes, Chloe Dykes, Joshua Herald, and Alex Barnes; as well as five great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Graveside services and military honors will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, at 12:30 PM. Betts & West is honored to serve the Dykes family in their time of need.
