Sue Carol Burgess James

Sue Carol Burgess James, 72, widow of Billy Joe James, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was born July 5, 1941 in Portor, KY to the late James Edward and Christine Jones Burgess. Sue was a retired nurse and member of Stamping Ground Baptist Church. She liked to sew, read her Bible, listening to gospel music and cooking. Family survivors are one son, Billy Wayne (Mary Lou) James, two sisters, Norma Edmonson and Linda Bruner, one brother, James Burgess and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Lakes, Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. David Woiter officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as bearers.
