Aileene Esther Purcell Bailey

Aileene Esther Purcell Bailey, 90, widow of Lewis Bailey, passed Wednesday 6, 2016. She was born on January 2, 1926 in Bourbon County. She was retired from Central Baptist Hospital where she worked in food preparation. Aileene was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and she loved gardening, flowers and dogs. She is survived by one daughter Ella Roberts Brunker, seven grandchildren Beverly (Brad) Norlander, Cherie Vienola, Kathy (Rhonda) Roberts, Donna (Robert) Butler, Wayne (Regina) Roberts, Doug (Crystal) Roberts and Craig Roberts, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons Larry Wayne and Spence Roberts. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery in Bourbon County. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Kevin Gibson, Doug Roberts, Craig Roberts, Wayne Roberts, Rob Butler and Justin Harrison. Honorary bearers will be Shane Butler, George Wireman and Gary Wireman.
