Alice Darlene Williams Holbrook, 70, beloved wife of the late Clifford Holbrook, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Alice was born December 3, 1937 in Wayne County, Michigan to the late Carl and Cora Berneice Ackley Williams. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Fellowship Church. She was the devoted mother to Nancy Holbrook Logan-Pikeville, Clifford Holbrook Jr.-Raleigh, NC, Sandy Holbrook-Pikeville, Georgina Holbrook Howard-Nicholasville and Tony Howard-Nicholasville. She was a dear grandmother of twelve and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Opal Spears and Doris Johnson-both of Michigan and a brother Albert Williams-Flordia. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Logan, a sister, Mary Ruth Evins and a brother Arthur Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday at New Hope Fellowship Church from 6-7 PM with a service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Ronald Riley officiating. Visitation will also be Wednesday at Lucas & Son Funeral Home, Pikeville from 5-8 PM. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Riley and Pastor Ernest Brock officiating. Burial will follow at the Williamson Family Cemetery in Varney, KY. Bearers will be Tony Howard, Joe Logan, Cliff Holbrook III, Willie Howard, Derek Reed and Hubert Howard. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
