Alice Mae Fannin Eiden

Alice Mae Fannin Eiden, 89, passed away September 24, 2020 in Nicholasville, Kentucky after a lengthy illness. Born November 15, 1930 in Morgan County, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her parents William Claude Sr. and Verna Esther Curtis Fannin, brother Henry Wesley Fannin and sister Ada Elnora Fannin. She is survived by her five children Murva Black Fong (Dennis), Grady C. Eiden (Kathy), Theodore G. Eiden, Jr. (Leah), Gregory N. Eiden, Sr. (Kelly) and Curtis H. Eiden (Debbie); siblings Neil Fannin, Ida Roberts, Mary Thornburgh, Kay Lewis, Nell Demaree and Amanda Fannin; nine grandchildren (Wendy, Wesley, Brent, Brandon, Courtney, Gregory Jr., Noah, Micah, Luke), three step-grandchildren (Ryan, Garrett (Erin) and Dustin), ten great-grandchildren (Caitlyn, Alison, Lucy, Austin, Taylor, Eva, Savanah, Alice, Jackson, Tyler) and two step-great-grandchildren (Piper and Tucker).

Alice loved family, gardening, sewing, Yahtzee, chocolate, a good cup of coffee and flowers. On the day she passed her orchids had 46 blooms.

A private graveside service will be held September 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Purvis Cemetery in Morehead, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be grandsons Gregory Jr., Noah, Micah and Luke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, Lexington, KY. Betts & West Funeral Home in Lexington and Northcutt Funeral Home in Morehead are handling arrangements.
