Allen Thomas Hager, 74, husband of Glodean Johns Hager, passed away October 16, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Jessamine County to the late Cecil Hager and Rena Locker Carter. Allen was a retired employee of 25 years from IBM/Lexmark and also worked for the Kentucky Highway Department for 12 years. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and also a lifetime member of the Bluegrass Horse Pullers Association. The great loves in Allen's life was watching his children and grandchildren play sports, pulling horses, winter vacationing in Florida and family get togethers. Allen is survived by three sons Heath Allen (Lisa) Hager, Troy Dean (Dawn) Hager and Larkin 'Mac' (Jennifer) Hager, nine grandchildren, Rex, Ryan, Amanda, Austin, Lain and Brynn Hager, Holly 'Ty' Robinson, Laeken Ray and Jaylin Sherrard, two great grandchildren Gracie and Jacob Robinson, two sisters Deloris (Jim) Davis and Judy (AL) Paxson. Allen is also survived by his second mother Pansy Hurt, two special aunts Ruth Preston and Pauline Hager, special Uncle Buck Hager and nephews Scott Paxson, June Edward Johns, Stewart (Butch) Johns. He is also preceded in death by his brother William Hager, his step father Clifton Carter and his second father Larkin (June) Hurt. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Betts & West funeral home with Pastor Mike Canada officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-9PM Sunday at the funeral home.
