Alvin Underwood

Alvin Underwood, age 86, husband of Mary Blackburn Underwood died peacefully Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his home on Wesley Drive in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky on December 30, 1933 to the late Roas Underwood and Myrtle Purvis Underwood. He is survived by sons, Alvin Mark (Jae) Underwood and Leonard Welch Underwood, four grandchildren, Lindsey Ryan (Willie) Baker, Rebekah Lauren (Corey) Hoffman, Emma Rose Underwood and Elliott Roas Underwood, great grandchildren Cody Ryland Eads, Wiley Griffin Baker, Raylee Jackson Hoffman, Ryker Vincent Hoffman and Rockland Mack Hoffman, brother, Charles (Marcella) Underwood. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hardin Underwood and sisters, Martha Perry, and Ruby Hager. Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Oliver officiating. Interment will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
