Amos Walker

Amos Walker, 87, died peacefully July 24, 2017. He was a member of Logana Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Marce and Lillian Walker. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Walker, their twin infants, Judy and Judith, a son, James Walker and a great granddaughter, Charis Ava Walker. Survivors include five children, Ronnie and Janet Walker of North Carolina, Peggy Woods, Wanda and Bobby Huddleston, Debra and Roy Cheek and Robbie Walker, all of Nicholasville, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a brother-n-law, Stanley Stinnett. . Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Logana Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Mose Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home. Bearers will be David Walker, Tommy and Adam Cheek, Amos Huddleston, Alex Fogle, Sonny Huddleston, Kaleb Playforth, Willie Pettit and J.W. Tipton. Honorary bearers will be Troy and Ken Hargis, Mike House, Tommy Burton, Stanley Stinnett, Stan Stinnett, Paul Hendrix, Bobby Jacobs and Taylor Prather.
