Anita Gayle Gibson, 80, wife of David Stewart Gibson, Richmond, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Martin, Kentucky, on August 2, 1944, to the late Arnold Turner and Annette Newsome Turner. She is survived by her husband, David; son, David Brian Gibson (Jeffrey Vanlandingham); brother, Arnold Turner Jr. (Libby); sister, Joan Chaffins; and grandchildren, Lily Henderson, Austin Gibson, Annie Henderson, Woody Henderson, Emma Henderson, and Skylar Gibson. She is preceded in death by a son, Anthony Stewart Gibson, and sister, Donise Turner. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 24, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Arnold Turner Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
