Anthony Eugene Horton, 59, husband of Vonda Kay Harper Horton, passed Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born May 5, 1957 in High Bridge KY to Ada Sue McLaughlin Horton and the late Melvin Eugene Horton. Anthony worked as a courier for Lab Corps. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church and a Sunday School Teacher. Anthony was an avid fisherman, a Bass Fishing Club Member, was on a travel team for softball, Church and Recreational men's league basketball teams as player and coach. He also loved coaching his daughters in basketball, as well as umpire and referee for parks and recreational department where he was a board member. He loved God, his family, his friends and UK Basketball but most of all loved being a husband, father and poppy. Family survivors are three daughters, Lindsey Gail Horton, Casey Nicole Horton and Brittany Alexandria Quinn (Ethan) Smith, a son, Justin Cooper Quinn, one grandchild, Sarah Elizabeth Smith and 2/3 of a grandchild, Cooper Tyler Smith to arrive June 2017, a sister Marcella Ann (James) Wilson, a brother Timothy Allen (Donna) Horton and numerous other family members. Service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Bethel Christian Church with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 until 5:00 and 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home. Bearers will be Justin Quinn, Ethan Smith, Ron Harper, Taylor Harper, Nathan Harper, Tommy Cobb, Doodle Peel and Brian Stephens. Honorary Bearers will be Timmy Horton, James Wilson, Tim Parson, Michael Miller, Jay Miller, Jeff Moberly, Kyle Moberly, Christopher Moberly and David Thomas.
