Anthony Joseph Ruggiero

Anthony Joseph Ruggiero, 36, husband of Christina Yvonne Ruggiero, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his home in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born in Mineola, New York, on August 11, 1988, to Frank Anthony Ruggiero and the late Patricia Anne Thue O’dea. Anthony was a police officer with the Nicholasville Police Department, among his many achievements in public service and law enforcement. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christina; sons, Gunnar Ruggiero and Preston Ruggiero; daughters, Lilly Ruggiero and Vivian Ruggiero; brothers, Frank Ruggiero Jr., Jeffrey Ruggiero, and Jonathan Ruggiero (Kayla); as well as his sister, Kristen Kuveikis. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, and stepdad, Joseph O’dea. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 14, at Southland Christian Church, Nicholasville Campus Building B, with Pastor Glen Spann, Chief Michael Fleming, and Frank Ruggiero officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery where community first responders and family will serve as bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the church.
