Benjamin Franklin Wilhoite, 75, died Sunday, February 14, 2010. Benny was born October 31, 1934 in Keene, KY to the late Russell Sleet and Rosie Katie Webber Wilhoite. He was a retired mason for the University of Kentucky, member of New Hope Fellowship and loved to play music, especially for nursing homes and veterans facilities. Survivors are a sister, Margaret Pelfrey of OH, a host of nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Sandy Masters of Danville, special friends, Wayne Lewis, Joe Sims and Arzie Byrd of Nicholasville and Joe Webber of Versailles. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine Jackson, Mammie Williams, Goldie Wilhoite, George -Eggs- Wilhoite, Joe Wilhoite, Clyde Welch, a half sister, Lucy Mae Gregory and a half brother, David Wilhoite. Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Wayne East, Mark James, John Tucker, Scott Wilhoite, Kenneth Shane Woodrum, William Kenneth, Jason Durham and Daniel Dailey.
