Bowen Isaacs, 91, widower of Roberta Isaacs of Beacon Hill, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his home. He was a retired salesman and manager with Electrolux Vacuum Cleaners and member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. Bowen was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a friend and inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was the son of the late Giles and Doanna Coyle Isaacs. Survivors include four daughters, Dolores (Floyd) Harris of Lexington, Betty Dixon, Wanda Ingram and Sharon (Buddy) Mitchell, all of Nicholasville, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Maude Skeens of Lexingtont and Jessie (Louis) Arnold of Nicholasville. He was preceded in death by a son, Bowen Ray Isaacs and two sisters Hazel Isaacs and Geneva Crawford. Services will be 10:30am Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Monday. Grandchildren will serve as bearers.
