Brandon Dale Hudson

May 6, 1988 — December 11, 2024

Nicholasville

Brandon Dale Hudson, 36, husband of Katherine Wallis, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his home in Nicholasville. He was born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, on May 6, 1988, to Ronald Kent Hudson and Debra Jean Long Hudson.

Brandon was celebrated as a talented baseball player, indulging in the sport for the greater part of his childhood and through high school. After graduating from East Jessamine High School in 2006, Brandon attended community college a few years later in Charlottesville Virginia while working full time with Target Distribution Center. From there, Brandon pursued a career in carpentry where he excelled with his wood working skills. One could say he was master of many trades and fearless in trying new things. No one questioned his intellectual capacity when it came to building things; he was talented and precise in his work.

Brandon was a devoted sports enthusiast. His beloved pastimes included watching his favorite college team, the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and football, with his family and friends. He and his Dad shared a common bond with their love of watching the Pittsburg Steelers, whether they were in a winning season or not. He loved to play golf, taunt his siblings in cards and cornhole, and was quite talented with a pool cue. He possessed a competitive spirit in everything he did.

He was a genuine, compassionate, unselfish human being with a heart that held no boundaries when it came to the people he loved. He knew no enemies; making friends came easy for him and he had many. He shared an unbroken bond between his brothers and sister, loved them fearlessly and wanted nothing more than his family to be happy and fulfilled in life. He adored his nieces and nephews and loved being the fun-filled and doting uncle. He was a momma’s boy, the pride and joy of being the baby in the family. His affection for and bond with his mom was undeniably rich in love and admiration.

Brandon married Katherine Wallis on December 31st, 2022, in Nicholasville, KY. They celebrated the birth of two beautiful, talented, smart, and adventurous children. In the years leading up to his passing, Brandon loved and desired nothing more than being a good daddy. He was devoted to teaching his babies how to be good human beings and modeling the importance of family closeness. He loved taking Braxton to tee ball practice, teaching him how to play soccer, and teaching him to have confidence in trying new things. He was so gentle with his baby girl Madellyn, teaching her how to talk, walk, and gain self-assurance as a toddler. His face lit up when he was with his kids; he loved them unconditionally and they loved him back bigger than the moon. His babies will be his greatest legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; parents, Ronald and Debra; son, Braxton Dale Hudson; daughter, Madellyn Elizabeth Hudson; brothers, Wade O’Connor (Megan Ann), Jonathan Michael O’Connor (Anna), and Derick Shea Hudson (Miriah); and sister, Carrie Lea O’Connor (Lisa Lacroix).
