Brenda Hurley Bowman

Brenda Hurley Bowman, 64, wife of Isaac Bowman, died Thursday, May 30, 2013. She was born in Sand Gap, July 24, 1948 to the late Lendon Benton and Georgia Mae Bennett Hurley. She was a homemaker and attended True Gospel Tabernacle. Additional survivors are three children, Lisa Bowman (Leslie) Boston, Carolyn Bowman Adams, Isaac Ray (Dee Dee) Bowman, nine grandchildren, Chelsey, Cody, Adam and Hannah Boston, Seth and Ashley Dunham, Aleshia, Zachary and Nicholas Bowman, two sisters, Jeanette Bailey and Shelia Wilhelm, L.C. and Benjamin Hurley and other family members. Brenda was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kallye Anne Bowman and a brother, K.B. Hurley. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday and 1:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday. Bearers will be Isaac and Zackary Bowman, Leslie and Cody Boston, L.C. and Benjamin Hurley. Honorary Bearer will be Levi Moore. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Blue Grass.
