Buford Corman, 89, of Wilmore Road, died Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was a retired Fireman, serving in the Fayette Co. Fire Department, a World War II Marine Veteran and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing pool and cards. Buford was the son of the late Sherman Kersey Corman and Susie Mary Anderson Corman. Survivors include five children, Buford Corman Jr.-Lexington, Wilma (Jeff) Bishop-Lexington, Sue (Lonnie) Hourigan-Nicholasville, Barbara (Bobby) Deering-Nicholasville and Connie Thacker-Nicholasville, fourteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, two sisters, Thelma Teater-Nicholasville and Carolyn Stinnett-Nicholasville, a brother, Knight Corman-Wilmore and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by several siblings. Services will be 1:30pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. George Maloney officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday. Bearers will be Gary Bailey, Randy Edwards, Brian and Jeremy Thacker, Adam Deering and Bobby Joe Deering.
