Callie Bernice Lee, 81, widow of Bobby Lee Jr., passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home on Wise Drive, Nicholasville. She was born in Rockcastle County on February 1, 1943, to the late Otto Bentz and Rosie E. Carpenter Green. She is survived by her son, Danny W. Lee (Joni); daughter, Carolyn B. Halcomb (Robert); brothers, Ronnie Kidd, Charles Kidd, and Darrell Kidd; sisters, Mary Haas and Edna House; as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Bobby Lee Jr., she is preceded by her brother, Robert Allen, and sisters, Evelyn Holly and Lydia Lee. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 1, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, where bearers will be Robert Halcomb, Elijah Halcomb, Christopher Lee, Matthew Lee, and Danny Lee. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Lee family in their time of need.
