Carl Ray Puckett Sr.

Wilmore-Carl Ray Puckett Sr., 64, husband of Flossie Lamb Puckett, of East Morrison Street went peacefully to be with Jesus January 31, 2008. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church, was retired from Rock 10 (formerly Gulf States Paper)and was a member and former president of the Lexington Racing Pigeon Club. Mr. Puckett was a native of Nicholasville, son of the late Claude and Lillian Smith Puckett. Additional survivors include children, Andrea Puckett Hall, Carl Ray Puckett Jr., Frances Puckett Price and Stephanie Tackett, grandchildren, James and Jeremy Robinson, Tarrah Dunaway, a great grandchild, James M. Robinson, two brothers, Claude Puckett Jr. and Donald Puckett, five sisters, Betty Russell, Margie Nicholson, Edith Russell, Lillian King and Wanda Welch, numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:00am Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Saylor and Rev. Ken Gayheart. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9pm Sunday. Burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Gary Chapman, John James,Leonard Russell, Russ McClure, W.D. Wells and Wes Griffey. Honorary bearers will be Mike Mattox and Chris Niklary.
