Carolyn Miller Messer

Carolyn Miller Messer, 56, widow of Norman Messer, died Sunday, September 23, 2012. She was born December 26, 1955, daughter of the late Nolen and Della Rhea Cuzick Miller. She was an employee of McClain Co. and member of New Hope Fellowship Church. Carolyn loved to read, fish, go to Goodwill and church with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Buddy Wayne Messer and Norman Lee (Tonya) Messer, three grandchildren, Jacob Wayne, Lee Austin and Bailey Mackenzie Messer, a brother, Kenneth Miller, three sisters, Pat Rigsby, Judy King and Rita (Joe) Waggoner, a special friend, Soonie and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Charles Zachary Messer, a sister, Linda Wade and a brother, Nolen Miller Jr.. Services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Stipe and Bro. Rodney Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Buddy, Norman, Jacob, Bailey and Austin Messer, Timmy Miller and Cotton Tillman.
