Catherine Myrtle Williams

Catherine Myrtle Williams, age 92, widow of Charles Williams passed away June 24, 2023, at her residence. She was born on April 2, 1931, in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Rue Alexander and Edith Bernice Bell McIntyre. She was a former member of Nicholasville Presbyterian Church and attended Bethel Christian Church. Catherine had a love for piano, was a lifelong marble collector, and was a member of the Jessamine County Piece Quilters. She is survived by two sons Andy Williams and Tim (Melanie Willoughby) Williams, one daughter Rebecca White, seven grandchildren, Chris Williams, Tiffany (Brennen) Mayhew, Sean (Brittney) Pixley, Prestin (Sorella) Daly, Whitney (Jeremy) Hockensmith, Brittany (Daniel) Smyth, Susan Amanda Williams, 17 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Curtis Mayhew, Sawyer James Mayhew, Tyee Alexander Mayhew, Cole James Smyth, Lynnlee James Smyth, Keith Charles Daly, Elora Dannon Daly, Amiley Celest Larkins, Tevin Allen Larkins, Noah James Pixley, Cameron Lee, Jacob Martin, Gabrial Evans, Catherine Eliana-Kay “Ellie” Hockensmith, Blake Hockensmith, Emily Hockensmith, and Brooklynn Hockensmith, one sister Ann McIntyre and two nieces Carol Ann Immel-Gutierrez and Catherine Jane (Robert) Parsons. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Jane Brown, and Charlotte Immel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 3, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Christopher Williams, Brennen Mayhew, Daniel Smyth, Prestin Daly, Sean Pixley, Cameron Lee, Gabriel Evans, and Charlie Daly. Honorary Bearers will be the members of the Jessamine County Piece Quilters. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
