Charles Amos Wiley, 98, widower of Roxie McDaniel Wiley, died Saturday, October 24, at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore. He was born February 4, 1922, to the late Jesse B. and Mary Ben Wiley. He was a veteran of WWII. Mr. Wiley was a farmer in Jessamine County for much of his life. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Louis and Linda Wiley, and his daughter and son-in-law, Roy and Mary Lou Mulcahy. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jessica (Casey) Heath, Robert (Vindy) Wiley, David (Jenny) Wiley, Kent (Katie) Mulcahy, Daniel (Lindsey) Mulcahy, Michael (Paige) Mulcahy, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Rooney. Services will be private. In appreciation of the care and support provided by the staff of Thomson-Hood, the family suggests that donations in Mr. Wiley’s memory be made to the THVC Program Fund of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center’s, 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, Kentucky.
