Charles "Kayo" Edward Burnside

Charles “Kayo” Edward Burnside, 86, husband of Marilyn Mills Burnside, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center. He was born May 6, 1932 in Garrard County, Kentucky to the late Rev. Charles A. and Isabelle Lane Burnside. Charles was retired from Kings Foods and a Member of Mt. Freedom Church, Wilmore, Kentucky. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Charles K. (Beverly) Burnside, daughters, Karen (Marlin) Taylor and Donna L. Burnside, daughter in law, Ellie Burnside, sister, Drucilla Highland and grandchildren, Brent and Eric Burnside, Chris Taylor, Kimberly Walter, John Burnside, Marla Seraji, Charles Neal Burnside and Emily Walters and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James S. Burnside and brothers, J.R., Earl, Ralph, Clyde and Joe Burnside and a sister, Ruth Grider. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at Parksville Baptist Church, Danville, KY with Pastor David Hewitt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6:00PM, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Parksville Cemetery.
