Charles Plowman, Jr. 86, widower of Minnie Elizabeth Lynch Plowman, of East Brown Street in Nicholasville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on October 30, 1937, in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Charles Plowman Sr. and Ruth Robertson Plowman. Charles was retired from the Fayette County Detention Center where he had worked as a Deputy Jailer. He is survived by a son, Charles Milton “Mike” Plowman, daughters, Connie Lynch, Vivian Ruth Peaches Lyons, Patricia Ann Plowman, Charlesetta Swartz, and a sister, Helen Robert, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles “Chucky” Plowman, and a sister Elizabeth “Libby” Vice. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
