Charles Ramsey, 81, of Blueberry Lane, died June 16, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, retired from French Bauer Dairy Co. and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a native of Pine Knott, KY, born April 2, 1927, son of the late Virgil and Sally Perkins Ramsey. Survivors include three children and their spouses, Ronnie and Vicki Ramsey-Lexington, Sharon and Ron Keefe, Robin and Donnie Clift-all of Nicholasville, five grandchildren, Kyle and Tamara Brooks, Kyle Keefe, Chad and Michael Clift, two great grandchildren, Blake and Bryce Brooks, a brother, Ernest Ramsey, four sisters, Hazel Terry, Essie Crabtree, Dessie Conley and Ruth Ann Thompson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Ramsey and two sisters, Reba Baker and Juanita Ramsey. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 6-9 PM. Bearers will be Ron and Kye Keefe, Donnie and Chad Clift and Bruce and Mike Crabtree.
