Charles Ray Stinnett

Charles Ray Stinnett, age 84, husband of Lillian Dykes Stinnett, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He was born January 21, 1932 in Jessamine County, KY to the late Preston and Fairy Davis Stinnett . Charles was a builder, farmer and a member of New Hope Fellowship Church where he served as a lifetime member of the advisory committee and as head usher. Survivors are four daughters, Mary Sue (Jim) Breiner, Carolyn Ann Burton, Sharon Stinnett (Tom) Bolin and Linda Rae Grow, a son, Charles Ray (Tammy Jean) Stinnett Jr., two sisters, Carol (Joe) Crump and Christine (Raymond) Lee, four brothers, Kenneth (Helen) Stinnett, Harold (Elaine) Stinnett, Bobby Stinnett and Sammy (June) Stinnett, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Annette Stinnett, a sister, Joyce Becknell and three brothers, Paul, Junior and Buster Stinnett. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at New Hope Fellowship Church with Pastor Ronald Riley and Pastor Emmitt Lanham officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 until time of service Saturday at the church. Bearers will be David Grow, James Berryman, Paul Curry, Nelson Bottoms, Andrew Stinnett, Shannon Jackson and Brandon Grow. Honorary bearers will be George Johns, Kurt Tankersley, Charles Collins, Mark Tolson, Chris Bottoms, Austin Bottoms, Dillon Curry, Blake Esters and Randy Smith.
