Charles Victor Kestel Jr.

Charles Victor Kestel Jr., 67, beloved husband of Betty Lou Upton Kestel, of Nicholasville, left this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 to be with his Lord and Savior after a lengthy battle with cancer. Charles was born July 26, 1940 in Nicholasville, KY to the late Charles Victor and Bernice Duncan Kestel Sr. He was a farmer and builder, a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church and member of the Jessamine County Planning and Zoning board for numerous years. Additional survivors include a son and his wife, Keith and Nancy Kestel-Wilmore, a daughter, Nikki Kestel and her fianc- Tommy Wells-Wilmore, six grandchildren, Krystal, Chas and Kevin Kestel and Coleman Kestel-Wells, all of Wilmore, two brothers, Darryl (Lara) Kestel and Mike (Brenda) Kestel-both of Nicholasville, several nieces, nephews and other family members. Services will be 2:00pm Saturday at Nicholasville Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Harrod and Rev. Joe Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home and 12 -2pm Saturday at the church. Bearers will be Ronnie Hopkins, Jim Hendren, Greg Becknell, Cecil Upton III, Shawn Kestel, Jeff Reister, Donald Duncan and Jeff Loane. Honorary bearers will be Martin and John Robert Lowry, Clay Corman, Tom East, Earl Campbell, Randy Davis, Leonard Fitch, Gene Roberts, Billy Carson and Jasper Mulcahy.
