Nicholasville-Charlie J. Nichols, 78, widower of Mary Mae Nichols, died October 28, 2012 at his home after a long illness. He was a retired music teacher with the Jessamine County School System with twenty three years of service and sixty plus years of church music ministry. Charlie was a graduate of Campbellsville College and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include a daughter, Anetha Nichols, two grandchildren, Adrianne Nicole Nichols and Aaron Tyler Nichols, very special friends, Tammie Owens, Sharon Mulcahy Hurst and Kathleen Hamilton, a special sister in law, Sue Rainey. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday at Crosswoods Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Brewer and Robert Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-9pm today at the church. Bearers will be England Prentice, Gordon Mitchell, Ashley King, Tim and Damon Curry, Brian Mason, David Whitehouse and Ted Owens. Honorary bearers will be Jeff Whitehouse, Pete Maupin, Gerald Price, Fernando Brown, Jimmy Rainey, James Hall Jr., Bobby Blankenship and Ervin Hamilton.
