Chester Elwood Aldridge, 70, husband of Shirley Ann Fryman Aldridge, died Sunday. Elwood was born October 23, 1939 in Nicholasville, KY to the late William Chester Aldridge and Willie Ann Ward Aldridge Cooper. He retired from Pat Bryne Printing and was a member of The Lexington Kentucky Racing Pigeon Club and Camp Nelson Baptist Church. Additional survivors are four children Jenny Aldridge of Midway, Tammy (Lon) Whitehead and Michele (Cleatous) Coffey of Nicholasville and Billy (Lynn) Hyden of Lexington, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Betty Goldey, two special nieces, Carol (Dennie) Williams and Cheryl (Rich) Critz, all of OH. Services will be 11:30 Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Lee McClanahan officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Rich Critz, Dennie Williams, Cleatous Coffey, Nate Hyden, Chris Spurlock and Johnny Goldey.
