Chester F. Cobb Sr.

March 25, 1918 — January 18, 2010

Chester F. Cobb Sr., 91, passed from this earth to be in God-s hands in heaven on Monday, January 18, 2010, to be reunited with his loving wife Elsie and his only son Chester, Jr. Chester served his country in the Army in WW II and was discharged with honors. His profession in life was Carpentry. He could build million dollar homes as well as pictures frames. He was a member of Roberts Chapel Methodist Church, Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association, past member of the -Odd Fellows Club-, the Disabled Veterans of America and the Jessamine County Antique Farm Equipment Association. Chester resided for the last years of his life at the Royal Manor Nursing Home where he made lots of friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff (especially -B- side wing) for the outstanding care they gave him. He leaves behind his two daughters, Sharon Guy of Nicholasville and Pamela (Danny) Davidson of Berea, a daughter in law, Amy Cobb (Bobby) Morgan, his loving grandchildren, Rebecca Guy, Harley, Jarred and Keila Davidson, Lauren Cobb and Cassity Newland, great grandchildren, Haley Sammons, Haleigh Davidson, Kelci Newland, Hunter Kidwell and Victoria Miller. Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Thursday until time of service. Bearers will be Jarred and Harley Davidson, Charles Miller, Larry Lewis, Bobby Morgan, Bob Routt and John Howard.
