Christine Carroll Becknell

Christine Carroll Becknell, 91, widow of Clarence Becknell died Friday, October 22, 2010 at her home. She was born April 7, 1919 in Jessamine County to the late Bolivar C. and Julia Ann Shyrock Carroll. Christine was a homemaker and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors are two sons, Bobby and Wayne (Linda) Becknell, three grandchildren, Greg (Veronica) Becknell, Laura (-Pacer-) Metzenberg and Kevin (Marsha) Becknell, all of Nicholasville, nine great grandchildren, three sisters, Rosa Mae Strange of Nicholasville, Helen Strange of Wilmore and Marie Jordan of Nicholasville, one brother, Bolivar D. -Sonny- Carroll of Harrodsburg and other family members. Services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Becknell and Rev. Basil Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 8 pm at Betts & West Funeral Home and Tuesday from Noon until time of service at the church. Bearers will be Greg, Kevin and Bryan Becknell, -Pacer- Metzenberg, Marion Williams and Sam Hughes. Contributions suggested to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
