Clara Crane Carson Forrest

Clara Crane Carson Forrest, 94, widow of Roger W. Forrest, died Saturday November 17, 2007 at Thomas Hood Veterans Center. She was born January 7, 1913 in Winfield, TN to the late Hilary and Kansas Adkins Carson. Clara was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Eastern Star and was a Army Veteran of WWII. Survivors are a daughter, Joan (William) Preston-Nicholasville, a grandson, Brian W. Preston-Lexington, a niece, Patricia Durham-Nicholasville and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Mackey and a brother, Carlyle Carson. Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be Monday night at 7 PM. Bearers will be Jim Smith, Neil Witt, Bob Blankenship, Sunny Johns, Ray Bradshaw and Harry Cordier. Contributions are suggested to Edgewood Baptist Church Building Fund.
