Nicholasville-Clarence Hunter Barnes, husband of fifty years to Marcia Barnes, died August 15, 2014 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a retired employee of Malone & Hyde, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, member of the Committee of 101, a KY Colonel and member of Nicholasville Christian Church. Clarence was the son of the late Jordan and Mildred Keeling Barnes Bean. He is also survived by three sons, Jeffrey Barnes, Scott (Joy) Barnes and Todd (Jennifer) Barnes, seven grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsay, Lauren, Hunter, Kinley, Delaney and Cole Barnes, a sister Dorothy 'Dottie' (Vince) Blair. He was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Laura and Grandon Benton. Services will be 1:00pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2-6pm. Bearers will be Hunter Barnes, Shane Floyd, Jimmy Brewster, Jon Lindsay, Gex Lindsay, John Black and Dusty Benton.
