Clayton Sanders Murphy

Clayton Sanders Murphy, 87, widower of Helen Bishop Murphy, passed away July 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1929 in Jessamine County to the late Henry and Margaret Carroll Murphy. Clayton was a farmer and he loved to hunt. He is survived by two children Judy (David) Duggins and Mark A. (Teresa) Murphy, five grandchildren, Wayne, Stephanie, Allen, Andrew and Kelly, three great grandchildren Dalton, Logan and Colten, one sister Mary Auvil. He is also preceded in death by two sons Kenneth and William H. Murphy and a brother, Clifford Murphy. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
