Conley Penland

Conley Penland, 84, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at Cambridge Place. He was born in Bell County, Kentucky, on September 13, 1939, to the late Oscar P. Penland and Eula V. Lake Penland. Conley enjoyed spending his time bowling and fishing, as well as cheering on his favorite team, the Kentucky Wildcats. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Nadine Brown, and Phyllis Bowling; nieces, Stacey Penland Miller, Vickie Hills, Teresa Campbell and Kelly Penland Doss; nephews, Jason Delph, and Rex Delph; two great-nephews, Alex Delph, and Josh Delph; and numerous other family members to mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by his brother, William Oscar Penland, and a nephew, Billy Oscar Penland. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, where bearers will be Jason Delph, Rex Delph, Alex Delph, Josh Delph, B.J. Penland, and Jake Penland Miller.
