Curtis Cobb

March 12, 1926 — November 9, 2016

Curtis Cobb, 90, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9,2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Cobb, his parents, Brutus and Susie Cobb, five brothers, Floyd, Arnett, Arnold, Bobby,and Eugene; three sisters. Elsie, Christine and Marion. He is survived by one son, Wayne Kirk (Beverlee), and a special friend, David Drake. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Jessamine County. He was a farmer, then insurance and real estate broker and appraiser for his entire life. He was a member of the Rotary Club, where he achieved position of governor and was a Paul Harris recipient. The most important thing in life was his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a founding member of Nicholasville Nazarene church, now known as Grace Community Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for more than 50 years,served on the church board and as trustee. Pallbearers will be Gary Johns, Lloyd Watkins, Allen Williams, Kenny Williams, Robert and Roy Williams. Honorary Bearer's will be Jim Blackford, Ben Brown, Clay Corman, Bobby Day Wilson. Visitation will be at the Betts and West Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services on Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com
