Curtis Eugene Drury, 85, widower of Mary Allen Drury, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at his home in Nicholasville. He was born in Woodford County on January 6, 1938, to the late George Drury and Hannah McGohon Drury. He worked as a carpenter at the University of Kentucky and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Lee Drury (Anna); sisters, Joyce Eades (Charles), Marilyn Gay Powers, and Jane Peel; grandchildren, William Andrew Elliott, Kenneth Lee Drury, II, and Jessica Lynn Roberts; as well as great-grandchildren, Skylar Drury, Emily Elliott, Gabriel Lee Drury, Benjamin Allen Drury, and Lillian Jean Drury. In addition to his wife, Mary Allen, he is preceded by a daughter Doris Jean Elliott, siblings, Ruby Metcalf, Minnie Curtsinger, Kenneth Lee Drury, Howard Drury, Edward Drury, and Roger Drury. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, where bearers will be Andrew Elliott, Kenny Drury, Matthew Roberts, Steve Drury, Frank Eades, and Ricky Drury. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Drury family in their time of need.
