Danny Ray Willhoite, 72, husband of Sandra Kay Hill Willhoite, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on May 17, 1951, to the late Ray Vest Willhoite and Betty Jean Stinnett Willhoite. Danny was an iron worker as well as a combat veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his son, Daniel Shane Willhoite (Megan); brothers, Everett Willhoite, and Kevin Willhoite; sister, Kim Willhoite; and grandchildren, Devin Willhoite, and Danielle Willhoite. He is preceded in death by two stepsons, William Murphy, and David Murphy. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 4, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor John Carrol officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Friday, at the funeral home.
