David Allen Burton

David Allen Burton, 46, son of Virgil T. 'Poochie' and Kathleen R. Burton of Mackey Pike died unexpectedly Thursday, October 6, 2011 from complications of a stroke. He was a member of Jessamine Christian Church and lifetime employee of Burtons Service Station. He is also survived by two brothers, Rodney T. (Cindy) Burton and Bradley R. (Ellen Masters) Burton, four nieces, Kaitlin A., Morgan H., Lindsey E. and Alicia Ray Burton, a nephew, Dalton D. Byrd and a special friend, Sandra Teater Smith. Services will be 1:00 pm Monday at Jessamine Christian Church with Pastor Phil Richardson and Pastor Dale Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at Betts & West Funeral Home. Bearers will be Rodney Burton, Sam Armstrong, Rickey Cobb, Leroy Hager, Allen 'Doodle' Peel and Herman Fugate. Honorary Bearers will be Bradley Burton, Bobby Joe Hutchison, Jimmy Klug, Doug Barlow, Jim Gaines, Tommy Hager, Josh Bertram and Johnathan Smith. Donations suggested to Jessamine Christian Church.
