David Reid Hines

David Reid Hines, 77, widower of Constance Fay Love Hines, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 14, 1947, to the late James Hines and Ila Wesley Hines. David was a programmer and mechanical engineer for IBM for many years. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Bridgett Swatzell (Steve) and Beatrice Preston (Marc); grandchildren, Matthew Swatzell (Kirsti), Brandon Swatzell, Eli Swatzell, Aubrey Swatzell, Amberly Brislin (Hunter), Madison Preston, Chloe Preston, Macy Preston, and Marc Allen Preston; great-grandchildren, Carson Swatzell and Avery; as well as sister-in-law, Brenda Sosbe. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, at Bethel Christian Church. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the service until 5:00 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to go to the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. Betts & West is honored to serve David and his family in their time of need.
