David Lee Angel

David Lee Angel, 76, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky, on December 27, 1946, to the late Roosevelt Angel and Marie White Angel. David loved his family dearly, and he spent much of his free time playing cards. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Angel (Brian Kelly); grandchildren, Aiden Kelly, and Savannah Kelly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Barbara Spencer, John Wesley “Wes” Angel, Sr., James Angel, Larry Angel, William Angel, and two infant siblings. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, June 20, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be John Angel, David Angel, Aiden Kelly, Leonard Lemmings, Robert Strean, and Daniel Strean. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve David and the Angel family in their time of need.
