David N. Grow

April 21, 1928 — July 23, 2014

David N. Grow, 86, husband of Joretta Johns Grow, father of Donna Grow (Gerald) Cobb and the late Gary Dale Grow and the son of the late Elmer and Claudia Cooley Grow died Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Additional survivors are sister Helen (Ed) Easterly; grandchildren Matt (Lynn) Cobb and Geri (Chad) Cadle; great grand children Caroline, Mary Clara & Matthew Cobb and Caleb, Kaitlyn & Kylie Cadle. He was also preceded in death by siblings Charles (Elizabeth) and Harold Grow, Ruth Aubrey, Eva (James Harvey) Dean and Marjorie (Marvin) Horne. He was a retired farmer and an active member of the North Lexington Church of Christ. He had served on the local boards for the Jess. Co. Volunteer Fire Dept, Farm Bureau and Southern States. He was active in the Jess. Co. Beef Cattle Assn. Betts & West Funeral Home will host visitation today, July 24, 2014 from 3:00 until 8:00 pm and services Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Services will be conducted by Steve Johnson. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Matt Cobb, Chad Cadle, Ronnie Carter, Glenn Carter, Randy Grow, Billy Teater, Doug Downing and Kerry Kearns. Honorary bearers Elmer Jones, Jason Justice, Frankie Justice, Bart Rogers, Ken Seaton, Ken Thomas, Joe Taylor, Bobby Peel, Victor Robinson and Steve Lawson, R.N.
