Dewey Cowan

Dewey Cowan, 83, widower of Myrtle Webb Cowan, died Monday, January 21, 2013. He was born June 2, 1929, son of the late Vernon and Carrie Whitemore Cowan. Mr. Cowan was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting guns and knives. Survivors include two children, Rhonda Sue Bryant and her fianc-e, James Johnson and Glendon Dewey Cowan, five grandchildren, Eugene (Kristy) Bryant, Shaun, Melanie and Dewey Bryant and Rusty Cowan, two great grandchildren, Shelby Grace Bryant and Taylor Isabell Bryant, two sisters, Mary Figg and Alene Thomas, special friends, Jimmy and Becky Whitaker. Services will be 1:30 pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:30pm Friday. Bearers will be Eugene, Shaun and Dewey Bryant, Vernon Figg, James Johnson and John Pollard.
