Donald Welch Hurt

Nicholasville-Donald Welch Hurt, 66, husband of 45 years to Joyce Lowery Hurt, of Little Hickman Road, died September 23, 2007 at his home. He was retired from Reynolds Tobacco Company after 30 - years of service and was a member of Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church. He was a native of Jessamine Co., born June 29, 1941 son of Mike Hurt and the late Ursuela Burgin Hurt. Additional survivors include two sons and their spouses, Clinton W. and Diane Hurt-Jess. Co., Michael T. and Julia Hurt-NC, two grandchildren, C.W. (Jamie) Hurt-Lexington and Ursuela Tasha Hurt-Jess. Co., a step mother, Louise Hurt, sisters and brothers in law, Hazel and Wayne Sailor, Nancy and Donald Hicks and Marion Williams, a special buddy, Clint Burgin, many other special aunts, uncles and friends, both here and in North Carolina. He was preceded in death by a sister in law, Barbara Williams. Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Lagel and Rev. Mike Agnew. Visitation will be from 2-9pm today and from Noon-2:00pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be John Nickell, John Cobb, Johnny Halderman, John Carroll, Larry Roberts, Buck Burgin, Rick Hager and Gene Walker.
