Wilmore-Dorothy Edna Beck Pohl, 89, wife of 59 years to the late Gunther Erich Pohl, of Lowry Lane, died July 13, 2014 at her home surrounded by members of her family. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Edna Laverne Beck. She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Wendell Beck. She is survived by four children: Christine Pohl, Louise (Steven) Harding, Elizabeth Nelles (her late husband Scott), Ronald E.G. (Dorothy) Pohl; nine grandchildren: Luke (Susan) Harding, Paul (Kana) Harding, Hadley and Drew Nelles, Jeremy, Madison, Jessamyn, Chelsea (Joshua) Noble, and Dylan (Ashley) Pohl, and five great grandchildren: Grant and Scarlett Harding, Liv and Hope Harding, and Josiah Noble. She was a graduate of New York University and a member of Delta Zeta. Primarily a homemaker, she also was very involved in church ministries. She was accomplished in editing and rug hooking and enjoyed art and politics. She was a committed follower of Christ for her entire life. Over the last several years, she attended Wilmore United Methodist Church. She loved, and was deeply loved by, her entire family. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00am and the Service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday at Wilmore United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery.
