Dorothy Teater

Dorothy Teater, age 96, widow of Burman Teater, passed away November 15, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1922 in Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Willie and Hannah Peel Gayhart. She was a member of the Little Hickman Christian Church. Dorothy is survived by one son Billy (Jane) Teater, two grandchildren Tonya (Shawn) Claggett and Angie Teater-Lafferty, four great grandchildren Allie, Andie and Will Claggett and Owen Lafferty and two nieces Wanda Cassell and Dorthea LeMay. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two siblings Clevert Gayhart and Rachael Myers Funeral service will be conducted at 1PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother Lee Baltzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
